The field is officially set for next Friday’s (Jan. 1, at 10 a.m. CT.) eighth annual ESPN Zone Ultimate Couch Potato competition – a competitive sitting competition to see who can watch the most continuous hours of televised sports (bathroom breaks only once every eight hours and no sleeping allowed).
Among the four finalist is Josh London – a 23-years –old advertising sales executive from Wilmette who considers himself a diehard Cubs fan ever since he can remember.
Josh will take on two-time defending champion Jeff Miller, a 25-year-old Real Estate Business Owner from Chicago who won the last two competitions by sitting 40 and 39 hours respectively, Juan Fernandez – a 32-year-old warehouse supervisor from Chicago who considers himself a life-long Bears fan, and Jerzy Jaworski, a 39-year-old safety instructor at O’Hare International Airport who hails from Edison Park.
